- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★May 29, 2019, by Douglas OlenaI purchased a Buck Hipplewhite gas stove in the summer of 2017 from Buck Stove & Spa in Springfield to replace my wood stove that had become too difficult to manage, and wood too expensive. The stove was sold for a fair price (market) and the installation was simple, requiring an extension to the gas line at my house.. I am highly satisfied with the stove/thermostat combination. I fear the winter storms less with a gas stove that doesn't require electricity to run.
